Quickoffice® Provides its Leading Mobile Office Solution to Samsung for Key Android-Powered Smartphones and Tablets
Leading mobile office productivity application ships pre-loaded on latest Galaxy series smartphones and tablet
Dallas, TX - February 14, 2011 - Quickoffice, Inc., the global leader in mobile office productivity solutions, has announced that it will ship its award-winning application on the latest Samsung Android-powered smartphone and tablet devices. Quickoffice enables consumers to access, view, edit and share Microsoft Office documents directly on mobile devices. Optimized to take advantage of the tablet's larger screen display and touch interface, Quickoffice's proprietary design technology, named SmartTouch™, delivers a series of user interface enhancements and advanced touch controls that offer an intuitive experience.
In the tablet version, Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite offers a new single-screen viewing paradigm for its file manager. This enables users to easily create, move, find and search folders and files horizontally and vertically for relevant content across all their repositories. In addition, the full-featured application enables consumers to easily and quickly access, view, edit and share Microsoft Word®, Excel® and PowerPoint files, including Office 2007 and 2008 file formats. The solution supports word search, the ability to insert images and add text in tables in Word documents. In Excel spreadsheets, users can make multiple selections and cut, copy and paste. Quickoffice also allows editing and moving of shapes in PowerPoint documents and the ability to drag and drop slides to different locations.
"Our ongoing relationship with Samsung has been instrumental in bringing our best-selling mobile application to the latest Android-powered smartphones and tablets," said Gregg Fiddes, SVP sales and business development at Quickoffice. "We're excited to see the growth in tablets and are pleased to increase our list of Samsung devices shipping with Quickoffice."
Quickoffice will ship its software on the recently announced Galaxy Mini and Galaxy Fit, both of which feature improved resolution, TouchWiz interface and are powered by Android platform. Quickoffice also shipped on the Galaxy Tab for AT&T in the US, which launched this past November. The Galaxy Tab has a 7-inch touchscreen, operates on the Android 2.2 platform and features a front-facing camera for video chat.
