Quickoffice Advances Market Position with Launch of Remote Access Product and Dynoplex Acquisition in Q2
Launches Quickaccess™ ships on newest Symbian devices and adds SVG technology partners
Dallas, TX – July 22, 2008 – Quickoffice, Inc., the leading global provider of mobile office productivity software and services, further established its position as a market innovator through several major announcements during the second quarter of 2008. The commercial launch of Quickaccess, which provides users with remote access to desktop content directly from their smartphone, transforms the mobile office experience and brings new functionality to phones for mobile professionals. Quickoffice Premier, the company’s flagship product, shipped worldwide on Nokia’s latest E66 and E71 phones. The company also announced the acquisition of DynoPlex, which adds BlackBerry to Quickoffice’s expanding range of supported devices
Currently available for Nokia S60 3rd Edition devices, Quickaccess allows mobile professionals to access PC and server-based files and documents directly from their mobile device, even when their computers are turned off. The product consists of a mobile client and a desktop agent, which is supported by a scalable back-end service. This provides seamless synchronization between the mobile device and desktop computer. The mobile client offers a robust file and folder management system, which gives users a quick and easy way to securely retrieve, view, share and back up digital content while on-the-go. In addition, with Quickoffice’s proprietary content conversion technology, users experience faster data transfer speeds and minimized wait times when viewing content on their smartphones.
Quickoffice further expanded the delivery of its BitFlash technology through strategic partnerships with ARM and Esmertec. Quickoffice’s BitFlash Scalable Vector Graphics Tiny (SVG-T) Platform provides superior viewing of content on mobile phones, enabling consumers to view and zoom multimedia content without pixilation, transforming end-users’ mobile entertainment experience. To date, Quickoffice has shipped its SVG-T engine on over 300 million mobile devices.
"Through our new products, acquisitions and key partnerships, we are able to deliver market-leading viewing and office productivity solutions to even more platforms, devices and users," said Alan Masarek, CEO at Quickoffice. "Quickoffice truly offers a unique and complete mobile office experience, enabling professionals to easily transition their work from the office to the road."
