Quickoffice Acquires Exclusive Distribution Rights to BitFlash SVG Software in Mobile Communications Market

Combined technology provides high-quality content viewing on Java and BREW feature phones

Dallas, Texas, September 27, 2006 – Quickoffice, Inc., the leading provider of innovative software and solutions for the mobile business professional, today announced it has partnered with BitFlash, provider of mobile SVG-based technologies, to offer enhanced document and file attachment viewing capabilities on Java and BREW feature phones and many other mobile devices.

Quickoffice software currently enables smartphone users to open, view, edit, create and share Microsoft Office documents directly from their mobile devices. The integration of BitFlash software with the Quickoffice product suite further extends Quickoffice’s reach within the mobile software market to include feature phones. Benefits to end-users will include the ability to view important document attachments such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, as well as PDF, HTML and many image formats, including BMP, GIF and JPEG.

Under the terms of the agreement, Quickoffice gains exclusive distribution rights to the BitFlash product line within the mobile market, including its SVG player and document transcoder products. Quickoffice will integrate the technology in future Quickoffice product development efforts as well as develop and deploy the rapidly emerging SVG technology. The existing BitFlash team will continue to provide technical support and business development services on behalf of the partnership to existing clients including Qualcomm, UIQ and KDDI.

“As mobile devices continue to become more powerful, the demand for high-quality viewing of email attachments and other documents will grow rapidly. By combining BitFlash’s leading SVG-based viewing technology with Quickoffice’s document expertise and market leadership position, we can extend attachment support to the underserved feature phone market,” said Gregg Fiddes, Quickoffice’s VP of sales and strategic partnerships. “Our partnership with BitFlash will help us grow closer to our 2006 goal of empowering over 30 million users worldwide with an exceptional means to increase their productivity while on-the-go.”

“We believe the combination of BitFlash’s superior SVG technology with Quickoffice’s long and successful history of delivering mobile document software provides an excellent combination for continued success within the mobile industry as a whole,” said Don Liberty, BitFlash’s director of business development. “We’re happy to unite with Quickoffice to provide superior SVG content viewing on mobile devices. The collaboration of our technologies will significantly enhance the user experience of handling and viewing content on mobile devices.”
