Alan Masarek Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

Alan Masarek is a professional manager and financier experienced in managing and financing businesses of varying sizes within multiple industries. Quickoffice is the fifth operating company Mr. Masarek has led. Mr. Masarek has also has raised hundreds of millions of dollars in equity and debt capital and managed multiple company acquisitions, divestitures, and re-capitalization.

Mr. Masarek began his career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen & Co. for five years, followed after business school by three years as an acquisitions specialist at The NTC Group, a New York-based leveraged buyout firm with controlling ownership positions in portfolio companies with $550 million in revenues.

Mr. Masarek received his B.B.A., Accounting, from The University of Georgia, Magna Cum Laude and his M.B.A., from Harvard Business School, With Distinction. He is a Member of the Young Presidents' Organization.

Gregg Fiddes Vice President Sales and Strategic Partnerships

Gregg Fiddes is a wireless communication veteran and leverages over 18 years of experience in a variety of senior-level positions in the wireless technology, handheld computing and Internet transaction software industries.

Most recently, Mr. Fiddes was VP of Sales and Marketing at start-up Voyager Systems, Inc. where he led an aggressive marketing, sales, and business development campaign which resulted in the company establishing itself as the early leader in providing secure wireless access to law enforcement - Voyager was acquired by Advanced Technology Systems. In a prior position, Fiddes was Vice-President of Palm's (now palmOne) Enterprise Business Group, in command of Palm's Enterprise and Vertical Market Strategy, Wireless Product Marketing, and Business Development. Prior to Palm, Mr. Fiddes was the North America Business Development Group Manager for VeriFone's Internet Commerce software products - VeriFone was acquired by Hewlett Packard and he led the integration of the VeriFone software business into Hewlett Packard's Internet Commerce Division. Mr. Fiddes also worked at BellSouth International and BellSouth Mobile Data where he helped develop successful cellular and wireless data businesses both domestically and internationally. Mr. Fiddes began his career in General Electric's esteemed Technical Sales Program and went on to be a top sales producer in GE's Electrical Distribution and Programmable Controls Division.

Mr. Fiddes holds an MBA from Babson Graduate School of Business with an emphasis on Marketing and Entrepreneurial studies and a BSME from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

David Halpin Vice President of Engineering

David Halpin is a seasoned executive with over 15 years of core product development experience at manager, senior manager and executive staff levels. Mr. Halpin has managed geographically distributed, multi-faceted teams, which delivered world-class software solutions to F1000 customers. Mr. Halpin joined Quickoffice in 2006 to help lead and grow Quickoffice's Development Operations in its Dallas, London and Ottawa facilities.

Previously, Mr. Halpin was the Vice President of Engineering at Macromedia and Adobe, Inc. In this capacity, he was responsible for the offshore development facility in Bangalore, India; architecting product strategies and roadmaps; and managing the respective product development teams to ensure delivery. His duties encompassed product life cycle development, strategic and tactical planning, release scheduling hiring, mentoring, engineering, quality assurance, partner relationships and press and industry analyst liaison work.

Mr. Halpin joined Macromedia in the fall of 1996 from Computer Systems Company (CSC) where he was Manager of Electronic Image Development. At CSC, he developed the company's electronic payment processing systems for major health care providers.

Joel Shafer Chief Technical Strategist

Joel Shafer joined Quickoffice in 1997, serving initially as a development engineer responsible for creating the first ever Quickword® product. He was promoted to the positions of Director of Software Development in 2002 and Vice President of Product Development in 2005, respectively.

Mr. Shafer led the company's Engineering and Product functions during critical growth phases, growing the Quickoffice engineering department from a small group of mobile developers to a multinational organization of senior engineers utilizing world class development methods to meet the stringent requirements of Quickoffice's worldwide OEM partners.

Mr. Shafer now leads the company's technical strategic planning including new product vision and architecture. Mr. Shafer, a National Merit Scholar, earned a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Physics from the University of Central Oklahoma.
