Quickoffice unveils MobileFiles at CTIA Fall 2008

I am very excited to announce MobileFiles, a must have application that will allow users to access, view, and download files from remote storage such as MobileMe/iDisk, Sharepoint or any webdav enabled remote source.

  1. Only a question: could we access to email attachments to save and edit them. for example in quickoffice?

  2. How can people obtain this application? You don’t say. And it’s not in Apple’s app store.

  3. Naga Hariharan Says:

MobileFiles is coming soon and is not yet available.

  4. The program is now available at the Appstore, but refuses to do any webdav except mobileme, whats up with that?

  5. Rereading my prior comment, I don’t think I was very clear. What I meant to say was:

1] Looking at the images and text of this post, it is clear that MobileFiles was announced and demoed less than a month with the ability to connect to ANY WebDAV serve. The application actually available for download however only supports MobileMe. Why was this capability curtailed and when will it be added back in?

  6. Very well done! Looking forward to editing on the device - can’t believe it’s taken this long to get it from someone, but I’m happy that you guys are the ones!

  7. Adrian Thompson Says:

It seems the MobileFiles in the App store is ONLY for iDisk and NOT webdav or share-points as mentioned above. Is that functionality coming soon?

  8. Why ohh why on Earth do you not provide .rtf file support with MOBILE FILES????
Its the standard text file format on the Mac (and PC)!!!!
Otherwise a perfect app - Iwould love it if I could wiew my rtf. files.
Behold: Other Apple App. Store applications can wiew .rtf files: like air share or the standard mail app on iPhone.

  9. Naga Hariharan Says:

Support for accessing generic WebDAV sources and ability to access GoogleDocs did not make it to the first release. We are working hard on these features and stay tuned…

  10. I can only access my Public iDisk, when I access my iDisk I get:

“Network Error - An error occurred while trying to retreive information from the network”

    ?? Help

  11. Yesterday I posted a problem that I couldn’t access my iDisk.
I found out that the problem was my password, it has the character “@” in it.
Without it it worls perfect, great product !

Maybe in a new update, this problem could be fixed ?

  12. Naga Hariharan Says:

    Edwin
Sorry about the speacial character in the password problem. We are working on making an update to address this issue.
